 Quality, attention to detail, and excellence, has been our focus since we began our family business in 1981.  Today we offer custom building of just about any type of cabinet furniture, tables, desks, kitchen cabinetry, and bath vanities. We build everything from bookcases to highly detailed entertainment units for homes or commercial offices. And we have created some of the finest antique reproductions available. 


In the last 30 years we have worked and furnished some of the finest homes and commercial offices in the NY Metro area  Thousand of examples of our work can be found from Manhattan to Montauk.  Our work can be found  and in an almost unlimited selection of custom finishes. We are committed to excellence in design, craftsmanship, and customer experience.  All our  custom work is performed in -house, by our employees and all of our custom furniture is made to the highest standards of quality and excellence.


Our staff thoroughly reviews your design needs and preferences.  This means that, prior to developing any design schemes for a new kitchen, for example, we first look at the room and how it relates to the rest of your home, both physically and aesthetically. We then study the space itself, your cooking or entertaining style,  your aesthetic preferences, storage and appliances needs. Only then do we proceed with the initial design work for your new kitchen.

IN PREPARATION FOR THAT VISIT, YOU WILL BE ASKED TO HAVE HANDY: 

•Approximate dimensions of the room
•Any plans and elevations you may have 
•Photos/videos of the room and any pictures from magazines or books which have caught your eye.

DURING THE MEETING, we will further discuss your needs and expectations, to become more familiar with your project. Often, we can show you photos of other design work similar to yours and, in that manner, more realistically discuss project costs. We will also examine your ideas for the space and discuss various broad design solutions.
  
 


 J & M provides custom millwork, using only premium materials, hardware, and finishes. All of our work is done by skilled craftsmen with years of experience.  Our craftsmen are dedicated to consistently producing the finest quality products. Not only do we produce the finest cabinetry, we also specialize in architectural millwork, such as, fireplace mantels, crown trim, chair rail, wainscoting, finials, corbels, columns, doors, paneling and fine furniture.

We build with a variety of woods such as Cherry, Mahogany, Maple, Ash, Birch, Teak, and Hickory. And we will build from specialty or exotic woods upon request. We also work in all major lines of melamine and plastic laminates. There is a nearly endless list of finish options available.
